i've been chosen because of my age 38.they say it will help my quality of life.this disease dissolves your bones round your waist, bends your spine, makes you blind and disables you, eventually ending up in a wheelchair.but it still feels wrong doing it

I can see how this would make you feel, but you have been chosen for a reason. maybe the other people are in stages of the illness where it can't be slowed down?

I would accept the treatment, if the other people could have benefited more than you I'm sure they would have been selected.

I wish you all the best, good luck.

Don`t feel bad about receiving healthcare you are entitled to , why would you feel bad about looking after yourself ? If you have kiddies and a partner they need you , there is always going to be someone worse of than yourself but if the money wasn`t used to treat people with real illnesses then it would probably go to treating flamin drug addicts and the likes ...

Look after number one !

P.S. Im 37 lol birthday in May tho !

You've been chosen so it's not you that's made the choice or pushed ahead of others. The people you see may not be suitable to recieve the treatment. Don't feel guilty, just try and see how it goes. Good luck

there is a reason you have been chosen to receive the drugs to help your condition. maybe these other people have something secondary that affects them receiving these drugs. the fact is you have been given an opportunity and you should take it, you couldnt be certian that one of these other people would recieve the treatment. i wish you all the best

You wouldn't be suffering from ankelosing spodylitis (please forgive spelling) would you? If you do there is a diet that is claimed to put the condition in total remission. With regard to your question - I would never take part in a drug trial (which is what it sounds likje) so I wouldn't be refusing it because there are others who need it more. Why would you want to let someone use your body when their ultimate aim is to make more money.

If you've been offerred the opportunity then go ahead. You could deteriorate more in a year if you don't take it now. Good Luck! xx

some else at the same level as you or not even as bad may get offered it and take it anyway...(you sound like my hubby who is disabled and handles his pain bravely and selflessly) for that alone you deserve the help!!! good luck

I did. However instead of forgoing treatment please spend you time in research. Both for alternative treatments and funding treatment for all that need treatment. You have a good soul.
