Its not selfish of you to be asking this question at all. If someone close to you has undergone a dramatic change in personality or interests its totally normal for you to be concerned and want an explanation. Many people experience some uncomfortable withdrawal effects when they stop taking anti-depressant medications, these will usually go away with time. Your girlfriend is likely feeling these effects which can include nausea, fatigue, depression, weakness, and headaches.
It would be a good idea for your girlfriend to talk to her doctor just to make sure that everything is normal and she has no underlying health issues. Other than that just be supportive of her, realize that she probably doesn't feel very well but it won't last forever. If you haven't had a talk with her about it, this would be an excellent time to do so. If you can let her know that you are there for her and you're concerned about her without making her feel pressured or guilty she will likely feel much better.
Best of luck with you and your girlfriend.

Possible Side Effects
If you have any of the following serious side effects, stop taking paroxetine and contact your doctor immediately or seek emergency medical treatment:
· an allergic reaction (difficulty breathing; closing of the throat; swelling of the lips, tongue, or face; or hives);
· an irregular heartbeat or pulse;
· low blood pressure (dizziness, weakness);
· high blood pressure (severe headache, blurred vision);
· unusual bleeding or bruising; or
· fever or chills.
Less serious side effects may be more likely to occur. Continue to take paroxetine( PAXIL) and talk to your doctor if you experience
· headache;
· sleepiness or insomnia;
· weakness;
· nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation;
· decreased sex drive, impotence, or difficulty having an orgasm;
· dry mouth;
· tremor, nervousness, anxiety trouble concentrating; or · changes in appetite or weight.
Side effects other than those listed here may also occur. Talk to your doctor about any side effect that seems unusual or that is especially bothersome.
