Some. I have found that some times people that are always smiling tend to be very sad. I mean they are just trying to hide the fact that they are not happy at all.
Now I have also meant some that as far as I could tell were really happy. When I find people like that I seem to like to be around them. They are kinda infectious. In the way that they make me laugh allot..

It's the Cheshire Cat syndrome...constantly smiling people freak me out totally and I wouldn't trust them further than I could throw them.
I think the smile is a result of a tense and un-relaxed personality, you just know the smile is a mask for a tormented person to hide behind...a genuine smile at the appropriate time is a beautiful response but we are talking about something very different here depression and temper tantrums behind closed doors.

Yahoo ID Scapegoat hit it right on the head. Like the song from the 70's said, Smiling Faces Sometimes Don't Tell The Truth.

i be conscious of a few guy who actually smiles each of the time. like a number of of the time and he will attempt to make you smile. i got here across i could not smile round him or i'd smile because his tries to make everybody "satisfied" each of the time somewhat of himself are unhappy and he doesn't be conscious of it. He do in simple terms not pay interest.

I don't trust people based on whether they smile or not, there are other factors involved in that.

NO, they freak me out.
i prefer people who can frown, they are more like me, so it's easier to relate and start a bond quicker.

No, it is scary. And there are no reasons to be smiling always.
