everyone. people are smarter than 5th graders, it's just that in especially elementary school, they teach all this stupid nonsense that they will never use nor remember. for example, lattice multiplication. you have to draw all these boxes and lines. its stupid! and who cares what this era is called? teaching all this useless stuff makes kids seem smart, when the parents are smarter because their brains arent clogged up with all this garbage. so in answer to your question, every adult is smarter than a fifth grader.
