Christians believe in the trinity. The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. All are God. I know it may sound contradictory, but they are all wrapped up in one. God is possible of more than we can fathom.
This could be wrong, but this is how I look at it:
God the Father is the one who created everything and listens to our prayers
God the Son (Jesus) is the one who came to earth as a person so that he might forgive our sins and so that we might see that he really understands and relates to us since he was flesh and blood like us
God the Holy Spirit came down to us after Jesus went to Heaven and that is the "still small voice" (some call it a conscience) that grows and develops inside of us to tell us what is wrong and what is right after we believe.

Dear Friend,
The Trinity is untruth. God would not want his trinity to be ufathomable, consider this The Father is God, the Son is Jesus, and the Holy Spirit is gods active force on the earth,
They are seperate beings, Many people will tell you that they exist as a trinity, but this is simply not true, consider the following scripture.
John 14:28"You heard me say, 'I am going away and I am coming back to you.' If you loved me, you would be glad that I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I.
Also
Ecclesiastes 9:5 For the living know that they will die,
but the dead know nothing;
they have no further reward,
and even the memory of them is forgotten.
If the Trinity doctrine was true, then who resurrected Jesus when he was dead? and why did Jesus say the father is 'Greater that I'
Also Jesus said of the coming of the Kingdom:
Matthew 24:36
[ The Day and Hour Unknown ] "No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.
God is one, his son Jesus is one and the Holy Spirit is their gift to us.
God Bless
Dear Friends,
When Jesus says we see the Father in John, he is refering to his perfection and his qualities. You must alos bear in mind that their is absolutely no mention of a trinity in the Hebrew Scriptures.
I strongly urge all of you investigate this misteaching fully.
Let us not argue this or refute one another, instead, reason from the scriptures within your own hearts.
NB i am not a JW

Jesus is both, the Scriptures are clear about this. Any denomination that is Christian would believe this. Baptists, Nazarene, Methodists, etc. They would all be in agreement that He is both!
No it is not contradictory, Jesus himself says this in the book of John many times. "When you see me you see the Father" he says. He also says He does the Father's will. The book of John is great for this, if you have some time reading it would be great.

its not Christian denominations that made Jesus as God or Jesus as the Son of God my dear friend.......
Jesus is the Son of God!
So obviously Jesus is God!
Its the God of trinity .
God the Father , God the Son , & God the Holy Spirit.
to illustrate , i can bring in front of u the Sun (God the Father) , its Light (God the Son) and the Heat (God the Holy spirit) that we feel bse of the Light!
Though all three are closely related they are somewhere different right?
the human brain has got its own limit in understanding somethings just like the human ear can hear only bet 20 to 20k Hz.
so some things are surely far from our understanding...our capacity.
esplly when its Godly matters.
remember He is God , The Amighty , the Creator.
lets not try to prove Him my friend.
if someone wants to come to Christianity the best thing he can choose is to leave the world , carry his cross and walk behind His Saviour.

Jehovah's witnesses have faith in Jehovah God using fact the only author and that Jesus is his son. even nevertheless they don't have faith that Jesus is God, they understand the deity of Jesus and have faith he's a god too, nevertheless no longer equivalent to God. (Isaiah 9:6)see New international Translation of Holy Scripture.

"Son" does not connote offspring. It is a title of reference to Jesus. He was born in humanity as a son, and is in eternity God.
Those that believe that Jesus is God are all Catholics and Evangelicals (i.e. Baptist, Methodist, Presbyterian, Assembly of God, Seventh-Day Adventists, Bible Churches, and most others)
Those that deny that Jesus is God and would just say that he is a created being are Jehovah's witnesses, Episcopalians, any in the camp of what is called "Theological Liberalism" etc.
Jesus was the Son of God in the sense of his humanity, yet he is eternally and fully God as evidenced by the fact that the Bible speaks of his eternality and the fact that it was Jesus that is the creator of all things in John 1:1-14.

It is not a contradiction, both statements are true.
Yahweh is "Father, Son, and Holy Spirit"; therefore Yeshua is Yahweh.
IF a person wants to believe in Yahweh, they must believe the WHOLE BIBLE; not just part of it.
