i'm a surgical intern.
my best diagnosis is that it is a lymph node or a cyst. the difference between the two can only be detected by examination.
place two fingers around your lump, if you can 'move' the lump like you can move your skin and if it feels soft.. this is good. if the lump is hard and immoblie.. this is bad.

see a general surgeon, if it is a cyst, it can be removed in the office with only two stitches.

best of luck~

It sounds like a cyst to me. You could try a hot compress,eg. a tea bag , dab it on till it feels comfortable and hold it there for a while. Cysts are at their most painful just before they are ready to burst, the tea bag will draw the infection out, then spray with a little antiseptic. Good Luck

Probably a swelled pituitary gland. Go to the doctor because it can be from an infection somewhere else.

Swollen lymph node maybe - from fighting an infection... if you are running a fever, get to a doc ASAP - could be mumps! Also possible - mononucleosis.... if it doesn't ease up fast, SEE A DOC!!!!
