For combined travel communications links between Air, Road and Train, there must be one Cell of Commuters run by the Government at economical way of availability even to common man and rich man. Then only commuters get the benefit from these services. Is it not?

The different modes of travels can be combined under one ticket only if no reservation is required. This can be possible only in respect of open tickets.

For frequent flyers, certain concessions are already available and a taxi facility or local train facility can be combined along with air travel under one package.

Similarly train travel and bus travel can be easily packaged. Such facility will really be a boon to commuters.
Under this category even long distance reserved categories can be combined. ( Under Southern Railways, before lines were laid between Tirunelveli and Nagercoil, Tickets from Chenni to Nagercoil were issued in those days by railways. After alighting from Train the passenger with a straight ticket can board the bus waiting outside the station, which will take him to Nagercoil)

Though all modes of travels cannot be packaged, if local train travel and a bus travel are combined into one package ticket by a tie up between railways and state transport, it will ease travel tensions of commuters and it will also support punctuality in reaching offices.

Our Railways are shifting paradigms in so many ways. Introducing this sort of packages in cosmopolitan cities is not a complex or difficult process. Should be considered positively.
