Is it true that oranges also contain calcium??

Well, first I have to assume you are talking about calcium based stones which are the most common type.

Oranges don't have that much calcium in them and they do contain vitamin c which has been indicated to help reduce kidney stones.

They also contain a lot of moisture which is very important in dissolving kidney stones and flushing them from your system.

Acidic fluids such as lemonade tend to help get rid of calcium based kidney stones too.

It is very important that if you have had stones at any time to realize that you are going to be prone to them and should be very careful to drink about (total body weight in pounds divided by 2) ounces of water per day and that sugary or caffienated drinks such as tea, coffee and soda actually count against that total.

You want to drink enough that you pee almost completely clear fluids most of the time, other than the first time of the day which is always going to be darker.

Some things to avoid are spinach and antacids like Tums.

There are a number of very good herbal remedies that work well too. Dr. Weil has some good ones in his books as does Dr. Duke in the book the Green Pharmacy.

They can have an orange a day; there are only traces of calcium: far more is in dairy products, which should be restricted, but not totally avoided, and drink plenty of water, minimising alcohol consumption, or preferably avoiding it completely, as it dehydrates the body.

If a doctor diagnosed your condition, then s/he also gave you a list of foods okay to eat, and those that aren't. If you don't have it, go get it.
