Anger management?
I am a teenager, and somethings have happened lately that have made me SO unbeleivably angry and I keep it inside of me but I feel like going crazy. I think I should do something about it. But I don't know if my parents would think its a good idea, they will just say that I don't have anger and need to see someone. I don't know what to do.. How do I tell them I need to see someone about it? I can't go to my school concellor because I don't go to school anymore, (TAFE).
Thanks.

Try saying this to your parents: "...I need to see a shrink/counselor... if there is anything I've asked from you or you have given me rightly, I believe this is what I most needed and now I am certain this is what I need (anger therapy). You do not understand the immense struggle I am in because it is all inside of me. I don't know what I'll become if you don't allow me to see a .... , and I cannot be certain I won't be an even bigger disgrace to you ... for once in my life I know I will benefit more by going to see a ... than getting all the gifts in the world.. I'm not saying this as a threat, but just so you know I am serious..."

I wish you all the best....

if you think you need to see someone, tell them..if they dont listen, tell someone till they do...otherwise, id sugest trying to channel your anger into a sport like boxing ( hitting the big old hanging bag) or anything that will make you tired...haha, you know what i mean, right? but give yourself a LOT of credit for even realizing that this is hapning to you and for wanting to get help... it will eventually pass, but that doesnt do much for you now... dont be like me, im 39, exconvict ( female) that didnt see it tilll way too late...you can do it, just find other ways to take out your anger...running? wrestling? ( just do it at a girls/boys club kinda place, not on the streets) good luck

Your condition is the same as mine three years ago. At that time, I am out of control and I always shouted in front of the crowds. For this reason, I have to meet a counselor who is expert in counselling to control my anger. Maybe you should try too. Hope it will works out, discuss with your parents about what you felt. Good Luck!!!!!

When you find yourself becoming angry, count slowly backwards from 10 to 1, as this interrupts the process. After that, repeat in your mind the word: "easy" for a good while, until calm returns.

Places that have anger management also have pamphlets about it. Get some literature on this subject and have a talk with your family, pass out what you have for them to read and let them know how you feel about it.
Good luck.
