No, I believe that the big food industries will do anything to earn money, so they make their food sound great. I'm sure If I ate canned food for a month I would feel terrible and look it! I know from experience that canned dog food has made my dogs have runny poo, made them lethargic, have a dull coat and one of my dogs had liver failure that we suspect was from commercial dog food ( her liver enzymes were so high it was really shocking) My first dog also had runny poo and a dull coat, she also let smelly gas off ( an unhealthy smell). No canned food is good for anyone so why would it be good for dogs? I know that ever since I switched from commercial dog food to homemade my dogs have been happier, healthier, and more energetic. Their teeth are cleaner and their coats are thriving. I just wanted to let out word by sharing this information that canned food is really unhealthy for your dogs.

Why would you want to feed your dog canned food when you can make something quick and healthy at home, not to mention its cheaper?, Have you even smelt dog food? It smells unpleasant! The same goes with baby food, It tastes disgusting! I just dont know how parents can feed their babies that! Its full of preservative, so unhealthy! This is just my personal opinion and I fully agree with that site.

Not all human food is harmfull to dogs, why do they put corn and carrots in commercial dog food? Garlic and onions on the other hand are toxic to dogs and should be left out their diet completey.

Now this is SCARY stuff.........
*****Everyone should read this recall:
go here for a list: http://www.menufoods.com/recall/product_cat.html
found this article on my local news:
WASHINGTON -- A major manufacturer of dog and cat food is recalling 60 million containers of wet food.
Menu Foods said it's received report of dogs and cats suffering kidney failure after eating the food. About 10 animals died.
Menu Foods supplies store brands to Wal-Mart, Safeway, Kroger, PetSmart and other retailers. The recall covers its "cuts and gravy" style food sold between early December and March. The food comes in cans and small foil pouches. It consists of chunks of meat in gravy.
The company said it's not sure what happened and product testing hasn't revealed a link that would explain the illnesses and deaths.
Menu Foods didn't immediately provide a full list of brand names and lot numbers covered by the recall but said the information will be on the company's Web site Saturday morning. For more information, contact Menu Foods at 1-866-463-6738.

It's not only dog food.
Human food is just as bad for dogs as their own is.
All the chemicals and preservatives in our food is making us sick so what do you think it'll do to our dogs?
I've got the same concerns as you and have done an awful lot of research and the fact of the fact of the matter is that unless you have the time and the room to raise everything you eat organically and preserve it yourself you are at risk.Either that or buy everything at a health food store and who can afford that?
Every bit of meat at the grocery store is tainted simply because of the way the animals it comes from are slaughtered and processed. So not only must we raise all the produce ourselves in ground that's not loaded with herbicides but we'll need to raise our own animals and feed nothing but organically grown food and when it's time for slaughter it will have to be done the kosher way.
Of course there's a conspiracy. But until we force the food and drug administration to stop finding more chemicals for us to consume that they know full well will cause all these major diseases in both humans and animals we are screwed.Until we find a way to stop them all we're doing is making everyone in the food and drug industry rich except for the farmers and ranchers who do all the work.

I don't give my dogs canned food. Are pellets still okay or should you ban that? I knew that preservatives killed dogs. But dog food made from other animals.... i'm not going to look at canned food in the same light again...
Thank you so much for this... greedy corporations... are evil...

This is just another ad for someone who wants to sell his product. It's disgusting and gross. Some commercial foods are better than others. However, a high quality commercial dog food is not harmful to your dog. Feeding human food to dogs can be harmful to them. Here's a clue for you -- when the so-called "facts" have a place for you to sign up to spend your money, they're probably not all true! Don't believe everything you read.

this is not spam from me, just want people to be aware..
WARNING:
This video is disturbing. It doesn't show any gruesome pictures
or anything like that, but it's unsettling.
The reason why is because it shows how ...
MILLIONS OF PEOPLE ARE ACCIDENTALLY
**KILLING** THEIR DOGS!
If that sounds crazy, I understand.
I first heard that statement a few weeks ago
and it sounded outlandish to me too.
But I did some research on the Internet and what I discovered
will shock you.
Please do your dog a HUGE favor and watch this now:

I agree on the canned dog food. My mother in law feeds her dog canned dog food and her dog smells really bad and has the worst breath. I, however, feed my dog organic dry dog food. Dry dog food is better for dental hygiene also. Thanks for your input.
