It should not affect the test at all, since smoking has no effect on glucose levels. It just damages your heart, lungs and blood vessels an effect accentuated in diabetics.

GET OVER YOURSELVES!!!!
Smoking does not affect blood glucose levels. At all. Ever. What it does do is it affects your circulation over the long term. Which, as diabetes does the same, is not good for us.
Excuse me while I light a cigarette to calm myself down from the moralising stupidity of the above answers. I am capable of making my own decisions & mistakes. The question is reasonable & does not require preaching.
Oh yes I've had diabetes for 34 years & been smoking for 20

Smoking effects your whole metabolism and would therefore have an effect on the final results of your test. If you have diabetes then stop smoking as the diabetes does have an effect on all of your organs putting you at more risk of stroke, heart attack, liver and kidney failure.
