You are irresponsible and a danger to society, “should be arrested”.

In a word, Yep, you're crazy. One little mishap and you could kill or injure a neighbor in the next apartment. Using cast iron weights for a backstop in a confined space can very likely get you injured by a roccocheted bullet. Get rid of the video now. If anything happened, it would be subpoened and used against you in court. For Heaven's sake, do your shooting at an approved range before you injure or kill someone and ruin your life. Shooting a gun is serious business with a lot of responsibility. If you are not ready to accept this, then maybe you should get rid of the gun.

As much as I LOVE guns, I never fire one in city limits or anywhere else I'm not supposed to. I don't even chamber a round until I get to where I'm shooting. It's just common sense to take these precautions. And all us gunowners really need is more stupid behavior to fuel the anti gun movement right? I have a hard time believing you actually did this. Something horrible could happen. I guess you're the kind of person who has to learn the hard way.

Be smart, shoot safe.

Apparently, you have no regard for your right to own a firearm, your life, or the life of others. A .22, especially out of a rifle, is extremely dangerous. It has an immense amount of penetration power and can easily go through your wall, or you. Even after having expended energy by hitting your suppossed "backstop" a round could kill you or one of your neighbors if the conditions were right. Crazy might not be the word, but foolish and ignorant are. Please stop this activity before we read about you in the paper. You're doing mothing more then adding ammo to those who wish to take our collective right to bear arms away from us.

You obviously have no regard for your Second Amendment rights, or the Second Amendment rights of other gun owners. It is irresponsible acts such as those you have described that fuel the anti-gun community, which one day lead to termination gun ownership all together.

PLEASE wake up, get on the straight and narrow, and be responsible. There's too much at stake just from a safety standpoint. Go to a shooting range, or join a local gun club.

Good luck, and be safe...

Oh yeah, destroy the video, it doesn't serve the greater community of shooters at all.

Only with a low power BB-gun in the basement. It might be quite now but if you don't clean often it will get louder. You violate a top rule. what if you miss the target! In your shooting gallery somebody will DIE!! Please stop! Also non-gun people take a story like yours and make it sound like any body who likes guns and live in apartment are shooting up the insides of there living spaces. Talking some dim wit politician who does not shoot or know anything about guns to make dumb laws. If you can not find a safe place to shoot then take your gun to a Lic. dealer and give or sale it to him.

No you are not crazy. Stupid is more like it. You have never been hit by a ricochet bullet like I have. I will tell you this. It hurts like Hel*. I hit myself in the stomach when I was about 17 years old I knew better, but I was like you.Young and dumb. Don't be doing thing like that. If you don't hit yourself you might hit someone else. You could either put out there eye or kill them or yourself.Grow up and use what you have in your head called a BRAIN.

You are NOT crazy, but you ARE incredibly irresponsible. What you are doing is dangerous to your neighbors and probably illegal since it is unlawful to discharge a firearm within the city limits most everywhere in the USA. That includes your apartment, which is not an approved pistol/rifle range.

What you REALLY should do is take your video tape to your local Police Dept., give it to the desk Sergeant, and tell him you made it just for him. He will give you the reward that you so richly deserve.
