To begin, Good for you!!
Companies like Mary Kay and Avon do not test on animals.
However, as a vegetarian, how do you feel about dead cows and fish being on your lips and face? You are probably less than thrilled. Most makeups are made from animals.
If you want to go entirely cruelty-free, may I suggest some vegan brands? If you live in a cooler city than I, you may be able to find these in stores. I order mine from this website and have not been disappointed. I already know what colors look best on me, so I know what to order.
Company names are: Eco Bella, Beauty Without Cruelty, Zuzu Leux and Zia. There are others also. Try whole-foods markets near you.
Here is a website you can order from.

You have to be careful with wht is tested on animals because even though some things say NOT tested on animals, all that means is that the FINAL product was not tested on animals. There is a company out there called Arbonne that is 100% animall testing FREE!!!! They have labs in Switzerland where they only test on humans, but you can check out there website www.arbonne.com not only are they COMPLETELY vegan/vegiartian friendly but all hypoallergenic. hope that helps!

yes, a lot of make-up is tested on animals. im against animal cruelty too so ill tell you things that use animals.
well i don't know, but they used to crush up horse hooves and stuff and put it in lipstick. i don't know if that still happens but it might.visit this site though, on the homepage it will list some things that are non animal used and are still great like others.http://www.animalaidshop.org.uk/cosmetics.htm. hope you find the answer to your solution and hope this helps!:)

Revelon, Mary Kay, and Aveda do not animal test. My daughter is a vegetarian and she uses those products as long as they do not list lanolin.
