okay, just to clarify...I'm PRE-VET, as in I know the vaccination schedule, etc. and about revolution/heartguard. I just wanted to hear what prices were in different areas. I realize that an 8 week old puppy does not get a Rabies vaccine. I said 8 week to clarify that it would be needing all vaccines, in time.

you should really contact the vets in your area for a better understanding. aside from the neutering...my dogs 1st visit...which included the chip, dewormer and 4 months of heartworm meds, and a couple tests the bill was about $200. vets costs here (northwestern pa) average---chip-$40, office visit-$40, rabies-$20, distemper-$20 you should call a few vets in your city and also in the surrounding areas. i know here the further out of the city you go the cheaper the cost.

AZ has humane society that sets up mobil clinics for spays, neuters, shots, etc Usually stores do some low cost clinics.. try calling petcos, longs, petsmarts, etc Some do low costs clinics. They need DHLPP and Rabies at minimum. They will need at least one booster without knowing history of DHLPP. Rabies is done at 6 months normally, some states are different. How old are the puppies? If only a couple months, they will need a second DHLPP booster. If they will be around a lot of other dogs, get a kennel cough vaccine as well. Good luck, feel free to email with questions

An 8 week old puppy does NOT get rabies vacciantions.
The vaccine protocol is as follows:
8-9 weeks distemper/parvo/canine hepatitis/adenovirus-2
12- 14 weeks same as above
16 - 18 weeks same as above
20 weeks or older rabies vacciantions
A year from the date of last vaccination (rabies and DA2PP) a booster is given then not again for 3 years (unfortunately some states still require a yearly rabies vacciantion).
A fourth vacination should NOT be given in the puppy series.
Lepto, Lymes, parainfluenza, kennel cough (bordatella) is not recommended for every puppy/dog. It should only be given to dogs high risk for exposure to these diseases.
CoronaVirus, Giardia and Dental vacciantions should NOT be given to ANY puppy/dog at all.
These are the protocols recommended by the AAHA/AVMA and all 27 vet schools. All vets in the US have been informed of the current recommendations and are urged to follow them to avoid overvaccination and vaccine reactions. To learn more go to the AAHA site or to Dr. Jean Dodds or Dr. Ron Schultz site and if possible get a copy of the November 2006 Whole Dog Journal it has an excellant easy to understand article on vaccinations.
Costs vary from vet practice to vet practice and from area to area so it is hard to give a price..it could be any where from $50 up. A puppy also needs deworming regularly throughout it's first year.
Microchip cost depends on microchip used.
Neutering again depends on vet practice..it usually costs anywhere from $75 up.
Heartguard is by prescription only and a dog needs a heartworm test done before it can be dispensed or a script written.
Heartguard is sometimes cheaper on line but not always. Also be advised that the company that manufactures Heartguard, Frontline, etc will NOT guarantee their product if bought on line. They don't sell their product to online companies only to licensed veterinarians.

I can tell you that my new puppy, I have paid so far $130, $65/visit to get her vaccines and I will be paying another $65 for her final visit.
The microchip usually runs you about $30-$40 and you usually can find a spay and neuter clinic in your neighbor that does that service very cheap depending on the size of your dog. The one in my area is between $45-$60 and like I said it depends on the size.
Depending on if you know about how much your animal is going to weigh you can find heartguard and flea meds sometimes cheaper online but that is usually just because you don't have to pay for a vet visit. Now if you use Revolution is covers fleas, ticks, mites and internal parasites so you really don't need a seperate product for worms. It does it all for you which is what my school uses on our animals.
I'd call around to different vets and get their office visit prices. My office visit is around $22.50 not including some of the taxes, but they should be able to give you a fairly good well visit price with all of that information on vaccines.

It all depends on where you take it. Do you have a regular vet? If so, call them and get prices. If you don't have a vet yet, call some and ask what they charge. Also check out the low cost spay and neuter clinics in your area. For example my vet would charge $170 to neuter my cat. The low cost place charged $30. Honest, these are real vets that help the community. A lot of people can't afford to neuter/spay their pets unless they go to one of these places. See if there is a Pet Guards in your area. I had my cat neuter there and he was just fine.

umm the general cost for the DA2PP shots r around $80 each , the bordetella is around $60, the rabies is originally like $50 and then the boosters r like $30 the lymes is around $60 each time. And then theres the vet visit with the original check over which is usually around $30.
the microchip price depends, but my grandma paid $120 for her dog. so i'm guessing it would be somewhere around that price.
the neuter price is gonna be less than $200 for a puppy.
yea u can deff get the heartguard and other meds online but in the long run its really not cheaper. u can just get it from the vet or from some supplier magazines.
well i hope this helped! good luck w/ the puppy! =) (this is the pricing for the NY areas)

it depends on where you go, the vet that i work at charges $25 for DHPP (needs to be boostered), $16 for intranasal bordetella, $16 for Rabies, $16 for Lepto, we do not recommend or require Lyme! Microchip is $68 or so, and the neuter is $57 + $28 for pain control package!! Those do not include pre anesthetic bloodwork or IV Fluids (optional but recommended)
Revolution is a very good product, one that we highly recommend at our clinic, and protects against heartworm, fleas, roundworm, hookworm and ear mites! Usually it is only cheaper online because there is no "guarantee" with a vet you know your dog is already heartworm tested and healthy enough to use a product!! i would personally go to the vet!!

Hi, I understand that you are looking for some advice or resources to help fully train your dog or fix behavior problems. If a professional dog trainer is not an option at this time, or if you want to trt training your dog on your own (a great way to bond), I'd suggest you https://biturl.im/aU1bP
A friend recommened it to me a few years ago, and I was amazed how quickly it worked, which is why I recommend it to others. The dog training academy also has as an excellent home training course.
