It is not that common. There are the cases of young adults who have diseases like Hodgkin's (they have to have radiation treatments to the chest to cure it). When they older the radiation causes the coronaries to be rather small and have a tendency to get blocked more easily.
There was a woman that came to our cath lab and died because all of her major heart vessels had blood clots in them. She took "stackers" to lose weight.
Some people who are born to families with bad genes and who smoke, drink heavily and generally don't take care of themselves wind up having heart disease at an early age.
There are things you can do to help prevent heart disease, but your genes and previous diseases you may have had may override all the good things you do. I hope this helps...

I would guess your chances are not greater than 1 in 10,000 of a heart attack by age 32.

It probably isn't all that common but it certainly can happen especially if underlying conditions like genetics and hypertension or hyperlipidemia (high cholesterol) are present as well as many other possible factors. I know someone who had two heart attacks before they turned 20 so you are right on saying anything is possible.

Unfortunately an M.I. (heart attack) is possible at any time from birth to death although I don't believe M.I. is all that common in a 32 yr.old female in god health.

Very. It don't depend on a person's age to have a heart attack. Just eat potassium, magnesium, aspirin every other day and take a fish oil. That's all u can do.

i know of some even younger then 32. If we don't take care of our bodies while we are younger and stay away from junk, fatty, salty, take out foods, over the years your arteries become clogged and the heart works extra hard to pump the blood thought out our bodies. exercise three times a week.

My mother in-law had quadruple bypass at 37. She was missing some enzyme that broke down cholesterol. Both sister in-laws have the same condition.
