What the heck, I'll take my two points and try to give an actual answer. Just remember to close the question and vote me best answer if I am.
1. That would be like telling you if you like vanilla or chocolate ice cream more.
2. That really varies widely by state. A few years ago when I was bored I peeked in news categories and wondered what the heck a newsgroup about chew would talk about. Really a vast difference between states. Some brands you'll only find in certain states too.
Even stores can be different.
In the same town longhorn (a generic brand) will cost you $2.59 at a gas station, but if you go to another store you'll find the same one for $4.99.
3. Sickness. Over time you could get used to it but there is really no reason to do that. People so horribly addicted 'gut it' when they are trying to hide it in school. Don't bother doing that, the little bits you swallow accidentally cause the stomach problems associated with usage.
4. Nothing really.
5. The first few times, most likely, a half hour. If you've never touched tobacco before that first time there is a good chance it is instantly coming back out (along with lunch). If you get used to it, the buzz fades as addiction takes over.
Cigars are a good example.
Unless you live in a state with heavy bans on smoking, you'll see people constantly shivering outside lighting up. However you almost never see someone doing the same with a cigar.
There are many men who occasionally smoke a cigar and very few who are actual addicted cigar smokers.
The occasional cigar gives a good buzz whereas the addicted one calms your jittery nerves looking for a fix.
Chew is like that.
If you must chew just try it a few times and not take it up as a habit. You'll build up tolerance and not cringe if you get a boss who chews.
I remember meeting a boss for the first time. Imagine a friendly guy who whips his arm around you and talks side by side about the job you are trying to get. Suddenly he brings up a coffee cup and spits chewing tobacco in it (still side by side with his arm around me). Actual loose leaf Red Man, not a tin of dip. Now if I cringed, choked, or gave any sign I thought he was disgusting he would not have hired me. Since no boss wants to put up with an employee who either can't stand them or thinks they are vile. Having tried the stuff before meant I thought nothing really of it except that it was unexpected.

I answered another guys same question with this. My buddy and I chewed for years while playing Junior hockey and when I say we chewed I mean it. He was dipping a log every 10 days or some ridiculous thing like that. He came up with this idea and we went for it together. We both bought brand new tins of Copenhagen and opened them together and ate the chew like candy. Swallowed the whole tin. After puking for about an hour and feeling high for about 30 minutes, he gave a full log and two tins to a friend and I gave 4 tins to another guy on the team. Haven't dipped since. Going on 7 years. Good Luck
