A virus can cause your heart to be weak, sometimes pregnancy can cause your heart to get weak. You really need more information. A weak heart means that it cannot squeeze as much blood as it should, but you should ask your doctor just how weak it is. And there are lots of different patterns that are irregular, so you should ask what pattern it is too.

When Dr. says a weak heart what does he mean? To me it means not pumping enough blood, they usually give you a number for ejection fraction, anything above 50% is thought to be good. The problem of bad valves within the heart could cause reduced pumping capacity. You should ask Dr. to explain what he means by weak heart. Lots of people live with irregular heart beat, I notice my wife has extra beats when I take her Blood Pressure and she's 73 yrs.old.

I am assuming the electrical shock was before you had the baby , but the irregular heartbeat was discovered during your pregnancy and or delivery. If the electrical shock had a detrimental effect on your heartbeat I think you would have had symptoms between the time of the shock and the time of the pregnancy/delivery.
