I do it for a clean conscience, to know that I don't contribute to an animals death. Maybe that's why you should stop eating meat? :D
And honesty to the girl above me, There's PLENTY of stuff to eat. I'm a vegan now, But when I was vegetarian I ate big macs w.o the meat, and it's just as good, if not better. I know meat eaters who didn't want to upset me, so ate hamburgers w.o the meat and said its not so bad. As a vegetarian or vegan you do not have to eat like a rabbit.

Because vegetarianism is healthy for YOU and for our environment. THERE are PLENTY of products on the market that are cruelty & meat free. Not just salads. Plus, if you saw what the animals go through, you'd really understand why many people choose this way of life. Plus, studies have shown vegetarians and vegans are smarter than meat eaters. lol

Does it bother you to see an animal in real pain ? Does it bother you to chew on their dead body after wards ? Do you want to educate yourself on health ? Do you want to live healthier ? Live longer ? Smell better ? Do you like Bullie's? Do you believe we have the right to put animals in excruciating pain and treat them however we wish for our own pleasure ? Is it OK to begin to cut them when they are alive ? The fuss is because once you are aware of what really goes on .. Can you .. Do you just turn your back and walk away ? If you saw someone beating a dog in the head with a hammer would you stop him ? Would you ignore it ? or would you try to do something about it ... ..... Many people once aware of everything do not turn and walk away ..they become vegetarians ..If that is not reason enough ..I am sorry ...

Do it for your health. Animal meat and animal products are the only known source of cholesterol. If you don't want heart disease, then don't eat these things. Also, there is a lot of scientific evidence showing that people with cancer who switch to an all plant-based diet go into remission and never get cancer again. I'm a vegan because the two things that scare me the most are heart disease and cancer...two of the ways in which I most definately don't want to die. If you want to learn tons, buy the video 'Eating' on Amazon. It cost me $10 and gave me infinate amounts of information as well as a great start to finding out a lot more about the dangers of eating animal meat and animal products.

its more morally based than taste. a lot of vegetarian/vegans believe that killing the animal is bad karma and if they eat the meat they will in essence take in the bad karma. if you dont want to stop eating me dont! no one says you have to!

You shouldn't stop unless you chose to, not just to follow some hype. I stopped eating it because extensive research showed me that meat is unsanitary. It is decaying animal flesh, full of growth hormones, steroids, antibiotics, pus, blood, urine, fecal matter, and other unsanitary things. Because it is so unsanitary, it is injected with bleach and peroxide to sanitize it. You can google for proof of this. Meat carries whatever illness the animal may have had. Despite the sheer cruelty to animals, this was enough to convince me. That, and the fact that I healed from 12 years of crippling arthritis and other health issues. I healed completely after giving up meat and other toxins, and now lead a productive, healthy life, raising my own veggies, and a happy cow who gives me the gift of her milk. Proof enough for me. It just goes against my common sense that something must die in order for me to survive-hardly seams right, when mother nature provides all we need, without animals dying

I don't think you should stop eating meat.
If you eat meat in moderation, it's not at all bad for you; in fact, it's very good for you, being an excellent source of protein, omega-3s, and many other nutrients.
If you are worried about animal cruelty or the environment, just make sure that you buy free-range, organic meat, preferably from local producers.
Plus, meat is tasty!

I think the only reason to stop eating meat is your own personal choice. I don't think anyone has the right to tell me I can't eat a cow. Some people think it's morally wrong to eat meat and that's their choice
