I think you mean "hypophysial" portal system...in this case spelling really counts.

So to rephrase, I think you are asking if artherosclerotic plaques can hinder the pituitary gland function enough to prevent it from secreting primary sex hormones - thereby causing sexual dysfunction? Yes?

Perhaps - we know plaques certainly can form in brain arteries, so it is possible...at the capillary level?...hmmm. It is an interesting question.

I think in most cases vasculopaths are vasculopaths and sexual organs are very vascular...so primary dysfunction is most likely caused by primary reduced vascularity, both in achieving turgidity and supplying ovaries and testicles with blood supply.
