They don't contribute to gas, electricity, rent/mortgage, they have free food and veterinary treatment costs them nothing, they have comfortable sleeping arrangments, they get cleaned and dried after being out in the rain, all toys are provided free of charge and they have an abundant amount of treats. If they were people we'd turf them out. Why do we tolerate this from our dogs?
It's because we love them, isn't it?

because they are wonderful... no matter what, they are their for you, if ur good to them.... they don't like to see you sad, so they let you hug them or bounce around to make you laugh... if you look funny or have a deformity or an illness, they don't care, just as long as you're happy... being wih and petting a dog has been shown to release stress and anxiety as well as depression... because when the whole world has walked out on you, your dog will still be there... because they will do anything to show you love, even when they are old and sick and dying... they are the truest of friends... never talk behind your back or make you feel badly... just love love love...

It's because every day, no matter what, you can count on their wagging tails and puppy kisses when you get home from a tough day. And because they have perfected what we refer to as "puppy dog eyes". And because they are always adorable, even when they aren't trying. There is no better friend in this world than a dog. Besides, who's really getting all the perks here? My dog may be spoiled, but he brings more joy into my life than anything else, and in my eyes he deserves it. I think I am the lucky one!

Well i don't know why you allow your dogs to be free loaders but mine certainly aren't. My dogs work every day bringing my stock in the barn and moving stock around for me along with competing at trials and winning. They'd still get the free room and board without all of that but it's nice to know my dogs earn it.

The same reason we put up with our children!!
They do not contribute to bills
They always need money or lifts
They create like hell when we ask them to do a simple chore
They never want to go to bed at night
They never want to get up inthe morning
They never pick up their dirty washing
They always want something cleaned IMMEDIATELY
They always want new, fashionable clothes
They always complain about the TV channels we watch
It is always "I want" not a thought for us parents.
They treat US like dogs, but we love them!!

Yes! they give us unconditional love and loyalty, they are always there for us, they never cheat or run off with their secretary, they dont lie cheat and steal just give us hours of cuddles, love, companionship, they are always pleased to see us after a bad day at work and they make us smile everyday, and all they ask in return is a walk, food and love back...surely thats nothing for what they give us :-)

It is because they can give you unconditional love for the whole of their lives and are even prepared to die to save you , unlike any human being on this planet. That alone deserves free board and lodgings, dont you think so!!!!.

It is because we love them, and also because they are innocent, (apart from when they pass wind). And they always want us to love them and just always do the right thing by us, they are probabily the most faithful and forgiving living thing alive on this earth....apart from when thay pass wind!!!
