For those of you that have Diabetes or know someone that does, do these sound like symptoms I should get checked out? For the three months or so I've been really really thirsty, to the point where I drink like 2.5 litres of water or so a day and still it doesn't take the edge of the dehydration feeling.
I am constantly in the bathroom, like I can go and then twenty minutes later I need to pee again and this goes on for a good part throughout the day (know it isn't a UTI because I've had them numerous times now and know what that is like) and then I am just so rundown to the point where I am tired even when I wake up of a morning (maybe because have to go to the bathroom at least once a night, don't know).
It is just getting worse and I find I am not able to concentrate of a day at work and by the time it hits like 12.00pm, I am so exhausted I find it hard to just stay awake. Not much fun :o/ Does this sound like it could be diabetes? Thanks guys.

Everything you've described sounds like diabetes... you should make a doctor's appt soon, it's really easy to diagnose- a finger prick and a urine test. Diabetes is something you want to treat as soon as possible, if your blood sugar is out of whack, there are many organs which can be affected. Good luck

High blood levels of glucose can cause several problems, including frequent urination, excessive thirst, hunger, fatigue, weight loss, and blurry vision. However, because type 2 diabetes develops slowly, some people with high blood sugar experience no symptoms at all. How to treat diabetes naturally https://tr.im/VSmAq
Symptoms of type 1 diabetes:
Increased thirst
Increased urination
Weight loss in spite of increased appetite
Fatigue
Nausea
Vomiting
Patients with type 1 diabetes usually develop symptoms over a short period of time, and the condition is often diagnosed in an emergency setting.
Symptoms of type 2 diabetes:
Increased thirst
Increased urination
Increased appetite
Fatigue
Blurred vision
Slow-healing infections
Impotence in men
If you think you have diabetes i think you should have a checkup and speak with your doctor just in case.

Many of the signs of Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes are similar. In both, there is too much glucose in the blood and not enough in the cells of your body. High glucose levels in Type I are due to a lack of insulin because the insulin producing cells have been destroyed. Type 2 diabetes occurs when the body's cells become resistant to insulin that is being produced. Either way, your cells aren't getting the glucose that they need, and your body lets you know by giving you these signs and symptoms.
Frequent trips to the bathroom
Unquenchable Thirst
Losing Weight Without Trying
Weakness and Fatigue
Tingling or Numbness in Your Hands, Legs or Feet
Other Signs and Symptoms That Can Occur

Sounds like it to me.
See a doctor and arrange for blood tests. Tell doctor about your problem as he/she will know a lot more than you're likely to get here.
High thirst is a result of high blood sugar levels in a diabetic
Don't know where you are but here in NZ the hospital has a diabetic clinic and they can give you a quick test to see what your BSL is in a matter of seconds.
Good Luck

It sure sounds like diabetes. Are you losing weight too? My son said he felt like he could never quench his thirst before he was diagnosed...and he peed all the time, and A LOT at once. Then he started losing weight at an alarming rate. We thought it was the recurring flu and never imagined he had diabetes.
I think you can buy a blood sugar monitor for around $10 at Walmart if you don't want to wait, but definately schedule an appt. w/your doctor. Any reading over 126 (fasting) is suspect. Unfortunately, your sugar will probably be much higher, based on what you've told us. DON'T WAIT as your sugar will continue to climb and that is very dangerous. Best wishes to you.

I am sorry to inform you that you almost certainly have diabetes mellitus. You should see an endocrinologist STAT and determine your present glucose level and take immediate action, i.e. bring your glucose level back to normal by medicine, diet and exercise. Then you should do a glucose absorption curve to determine how effective your organism metabolizes glucose. And then you should start the big uphill fight: daily glucose determinations, daily medicines, diet ( no sugar), exercise, checking of lower limbs for infections. Go to avandia or smith - klein- glaxo in the www and look for a diabetic self help group in your neighborhood. Learn about your disease which is no matter to laugh at but with GOOD TREATMENT AND HELP OF THE FAMILY YOU CAN LEAD AN ALMOST NORMAL LIFE. Good Luck. Dr House
