I am supposed to be 1/4 Irish. Mee is the family name.
I have not had much look finding people of that name who have come from Ireland.

I am a Mee (maiden name) who is also 1/4 Irish. My grandfather, Jeremiah John Mee, was born in Glenamaddy in the County of Galway on 11/1/1907. His father was Daniel Mee and his mother was Bridge (Noone) Mee. He came to the U.S. in 1922, I believe, and died in Houston, Texas, in 1940. There is a memorial to Constable Jeremiah Mee in that town, I believe. Perhaps your relatives come from Glenamaddy.

If you go to the following URL:

I think you'll find a lot of Mees from Ireland. Since you did not provide any given names, I'm afraid this is all I can do for you. I only clicked on a few Mee entries and they all (miraculously) talked about people from Ireland. GOOD LUCK!
