I am very intrested & have purchased the book Solitary Witch. So far I totaly agree with the beliefs represented in the book. Although I also believe in Jesus. God/Goddess to me is a energy not male or female. Jesus in my belief is God/Goddess energy manafested in human form. So far I have not found any refrence to God/Goddess manifested at any time here on earth. Without this I must continue searching for support in my beliefs. Peace & Harmoney to all.

I ahve always believed God gave us two gifts at birth Life & Choice. Somewhear in the bible it states dont judge least ye be judged. So those of you sending me to hell may need to study your bible some more before God does his judging.

I know what you mean. I was always told in Catholic school that although were refer to God in the male he is not he is above gender. Perhaps you should research Christo-paganism. It sort of a combination of Christianity and Paganism. If you don't find anything there type "Christian Witch" into google and see what you can find. You don't really need to belong to a church or a faith you can practice any religion solitary, to each his own, or to each their own.

Hiya,

I recommend the following books for those who are interested in learning more about the craft:
Witchcraft: Theory and Practice by Ly De Angeles
The Power of the Witch by Laurie Cabot
The Craft: A Witch's Book of Shadows by Dorothy Morrison

I also recommend steering clear of anything by Silver Ravenwolf.

I highly recommend Graham Harvey's "Contemporary Paganism" as an overview of pagan religions, and Nicholas Graham's "The Four Powers: Magical Practice for Beginners of All Ages" as a superb introduction to general magical practice, and what paths are out there. You might also like "Ancient Christian Magic" by Marvin meyer and Richard Smith.

As for other recommendations, I have a book review blog at http://lupabitch.wordpress.com which you may find useful.

And in regards to websites, I have a collection that I like at http://www.thegreenwolf.com/links.html that includes a lot of links I've found useful over the years.

Good luck :)

If by "Neopagan Witchcraft" you mean Wicca, there are several authors that can be recommended (though Silver Ravenwolf isn't one of them).

Anyway...

Check out Scott Cunningham and Raymond Buckland. They both have books about Wicca for solitary practitioners.
Also Marian Green's "A Witch Alone". These should give you good information about Wicca.

If you mean neopaganism in general, I like Joyce and River Higgenbotham's books on paganism ("Paganism" and "Pagan Spirituality").

If you're looking for reference to the DIvine manifesting itself on earth, there are tons of references to it happening in various mythologies (all of which were - and are - religions).

Look under Witch/Pagan/gods/goddesses seperately and multiple source sites on the web. You may benefit from joining several Pagan groups through Yahoo, also.

look for a teacher instead of a book. most people believe by reading a book or website they're adepts and get themselves in all sorts of hurt (which i tend to get dragged into to clean up - but thats another story). nothing like first hand experience to help and guide. most of the books publish teach just enough to make people dangerous (and not in the good way)

Witchvox.com is an excellent web site.

Amy K.'s True Magic is an excellent book that discusses magick in general and many different forms of pagan religions and magickal workings.

-Drawing Down the Moon-, by Margot Adler, is the definitive study of the broad neopagan community. It's a very comprehensive overview and a great introduction.

The god and goddess have not manifested themselves on this earth.

There is no bible for the craft.
