I am planning a christening party for my daughter and we are expecting about 100 guests. Among many other things I am serving ham and baked ziti. How many pounds of ham will I need? How many pans of ziti? I'm bad at this

4-5 oz. of ham per person
1 cup cooked ziti per person.

That would be about 8 12-cup casseroles of ziti and two bone-in h am of about 25 lbs. each.

Realize that not everyone you invite will come. Usually only about 60% of those invited show up at a party. So if you've invited 100, prepare food for about 60. If you've invited 165 people, then prepare food for 100.

I would estimate a 6-8 oz serving of ham per person you'll need 50 lbs and one pound of ziti should serve 4 people (4 oz ea.) so that would be 25lbs of ziti.
