Rice doesn't have any fat in it until you add it.
You need to count your carbs as always with a diabetic diet and and make any adjustments necessary.
Good luck.

Check your Sugar levels two hours after eating and see how the rice effects your sugar.

I am Diabetic and I can not eat rice. My levels at two hours are still above 180 (should be 120 or less)

If you are diabetic - I suggest you always test before you eat, and 2 hours afterwards. You will then be able to determine what foods work with your body and what ones do not.

What works for one Diabetic many times will not work for another. The best way is to listen to your Body.

Freshly harvested rice is brown. When processed to remove the "seed" portion it turns white. While most of the rice kernel is ordinary carbohydrate, the "seed" portion contains special nutrients.

Years ago, groceries had no air conditioning and brown rice would spoil in the summer heat. Processing removed the "seed" and the resulting white rice would keep indefinitely.
People began to consider white rice as 'cleaner' than brown.

Experiments have demonstrated that rats feed on brown rice do just fine, but those feed white rice actually die!
