I want to audition for a school contest sorta like "American Idol." need a song...?

I need a song to sing for an audition for a thing like American Idol at my school. I'd like to sing a fun song, and I'm thinking about Downtown. I think a classic song or oldies songs would be really fun... if you have any good ideas please do tell!!!

Yes, the best choice would probably be a classic/oldies. But whatever you choose make sure its a ballad type of thing. And you can reach all the notes without problems. Make sure you choose something which shows your range(have lots of high and low notes). Finally just make sure you have fun with it and change or add your own touch if you like.

Pick something that makes you happy when you sing it. It should be one that is within your voice range and that you can sing well. And one you know well so you won't forget the words to when you get up there. Good luck, and have fun.

i think of Dexter might sing some thing Ozzy Osbourne like "Mama i'm coming domicile". Deb might carry out a little obnoxious diva track, like Mariah Carey or Beyonce. perhaps "single women". :)
