Actually Herpes infection is of two type
1 H.simplex
2 Herpes Zoster
H.Simplex may occay on gentalia & than is sTD
It may occuar on buccal mucosa that is oral cavit & lips after fever when ur immunity is low.
H.Zoster is entirely diffeent in presentation &it is chickenpox virus lying dorment ( sleeping ) in body when immunity is low it affects the nerves & along the course of nerves there are big grape like eruptions which are itcy & burns & It may affect the nerves in eye than known as H.Zoster ophthalmicus.
It heals within 15 -20 days but some time in old people post herpetic neuralgia may be intractable & last for many months to years.
While H.simplex heals without any complications but is STD.
