I was thinking about having some sort of fondue party, cheese and chocolate, any recipes or other suggestions?

The important thing is you do what YOU want to do and not what you think everyone expects you to do. Think out of the box be simple and enjoy your friends.

The best birthday pary I ever had as a teenager was in our back yard. We played volleyball, had loud music, lots of good snack food, a bon fire and we all crashed outside under the stars. We even played stupid little games like "chubby bunny". If you don't know that is its when you see who can stuff the most unchewed marshmellows in their mouth at once.

How about making a bunch of pizza dough and have everyone make their own pizza (you provide a big selection of toppings), then grill the pizzas instead of baking them? To me, fondue is something older people do, older than me, and I'm 25.
Try having different sauces and toppings than the usual tomato sauce, pepperoni, and cheese? Offer BBQ sauce, shredded chicken, cooked and crumbled bacon, and shredded cheddar cheese for BBQ pizzas, they are delish! And offer a white sauce for people who don't like tomatoes, like a jarred Alfredo sauce. Snag some menus from local pizza joints and use them for inspiration. And if you don't want to do that, just watch the different pizza joint commercials or look around online, I'm sure you'll find some ideas!
Happy Birthday!!!

Well, you see, for parties, it need not just be food. You can include music and get everyone to come down in theme party style (e.g. Mickey Mouse).
Also, you can get candles, small ones, and arrange your name, your age out on the floor, it's a sweet scene when everyone's doing it with you. And it certainly DO look nice too~
Then maybe, becuz you are 14, you are teenager (juz like me ~), and you might want some fun, like, getting your friends to stay over at your house for a late-night movie treat.. and sort. You may even shake up the whole neighbourhood to celebrate your big day!
Whoots, you may want some competition, like,.. hmm, games? (computer, ps3?etc.) or simple manual games of hide n' seek and things like that

Hey! First thing First!
Ask yourself the following questions and then you will know what you should do.
- Who will be invited to your party?
- Your mom/dad will give you a hand?
- formal or informal?
- have free time?
But one thing, I think, is that you should do something, yourself. You are growing up and now try to show what you can do (by yourself) beautifully!
