Find a support group in your area, i'm being serious they exist. There are online forums where you can talk to other people about what you are going through and they can help you through it. http://www.herpes.com/ I'm being completely serious with that site, there is online chat also. I don't know about the scars, but someone on there might. Good Luck and keep your head up, one out of four are supposidly infected so you are def. not alone!

i am sorry you feel this way...believe it or not 6-8 out of 10 people you see everyday may have the virus and either dont even know it or dont show signs yet.
it can be difficult but as science progresses the technology to fight this elusive disease advances...maybe one day we will be able to forget this damn thing ever even existed...good luck to you.
as far as the scars they will lessen over time on their own..use a good moisturizer everyday with at least a 20 spf and DO NOT pick at cold sores when you get them....and dont use any harsh chemicals on them. Try acyclovir or valtrex daily with a dose of lysine and just try to eat and sleep well everyday, that should help with the scarring and future outbreaks.

You should be going to your doctor. There are drugs to lessen the effects of an outbreak. You are getting scaring that could be avoided. The redness will reduce over time.
