An std is a sexually transmitted disease, and pregnancy, menstrual cycles and birth control pills are completely seperate topics. You will not miss a cycle if you contract an STD. You may very well not even know you have one at all, until you develop other problems or it is detected during a routine pap smear. You may well never have a fever because of the STD, never get any symptoms at all. Birth control pills simply prevent pregnancy, they do not protect you from anything else. If you are on birth control pills, and you take them as directed, you may still skip a cycle and not be pregnant. Taken as prescribed, it is very rare to get pregnant on the pill. You can miss a period for many reasons, including stress and illness caused by other things. As wonderful as the internet is for finding information, you need to be careful about the sources you choose to use. Not all of them are reliable. If you are really interested in finding out more about pregnancy, the pill, and STD's, you would probably do best to visit a gynecologist, a health clinic, or even your regular family doctor. They are the experts who can give you the best information, and provide what you need to stay healthy and safe. Don't play with your health on the internet, go find a live body with a degree you can see in person.

if you want to know the real answer go to a doctor who can help you. You can get your period even if you are on birth control. You may not even STD's but a baby in your stomach. If you know that the person you had sex with has something then your may STD's. The internet is full of truth and false statements. Make sure your information that you find on the internet is from a credited website.
