Hello, I just got a second CT scanning with the result of airway disease as cause for mosaic perfusion.

Please tell me what you know about it, as of:

how dangerous it is?
survival?
possible treatment.

If you don't mind please give me only your opinion. some people just give a very complicated website that is very hard to figure it out.

thank you very much

Do you have any history of Pulmonary Embolism? DVT? Or Emphysema? All of these relate in some degree to airway disease cause for Mosaic Perfusion.

--- how dangerous it is?
No immediate danger, but becomes chronic... with progressive Shortness of Breath depending on degree of impaired diffusion (look up DLCO).

--- survival?
Look under Emphysema and/or Pulmonary Embolism, similar pathology... again, chronic problem, progressive with age.

--- possible treatment.
No real treatments, perhaps surgical intervention to reduce/remove areas of very poor perfusion.

Since you state the cause is airway disease, it implies air trapping, and therefore is moreorless emphysema. It has also been implied in studies that history of Pulmonary Embolism also results in "Mosaic". I'll include a link for the Wiki page below.
