I know Filipino don't celebrate Lunar New Year. What about those nationalities mention above?

I do know that they have their own new year celebrations based on their own calendars or religious beliefs before Westerners colonized their countries but I don't their exact dates.

I think the only the Vietnamese, the Mongolian and the Korean celebrate Lunar New Year because their cultures were influenced by the Chinese during B.C as well as A.D. Korea was once colonized by the China off and on though out the history. Vietnam was also colonized by China off and on for about 1000 years (heard from my Vietnamese friend).

Everyone is welcome to participate.

Singapore and Malaysia are multi-cultural countries. So we celebrate western New Year Day, Chinese Lunar New Year, Muslim Hari Raya Puasa and Indian Deepavali. The Chinese, Muslim and Indian new years will be based on the lunar calender according to each custom.

Thailand celebrates Songkran every April 13-15 with water as agent for purification and blessing. This has turned into present day water fights. But it is really a celebration of the start of rainy season for the farmers to wet their crops.

Myanmar celebrates around April 16 for 3 days. Cambodia celebrates about April 12, 13 or 14 for 3 days. Laos celebrates on April 13, 14 or 15 for 3 days. Vietnam celebrates Tet in Feb according to the lunar moon lasting 7 days and is similar to Chinese lunar new year.

Japan celebrates on 1st Jan as the western calender.

It is quite wrong to say that Filipino does not celebrate Lunar New Year. The Filipino Chinese do. Just that it is not a national hoilday.

As like in the minorities in other countries. they will celebrate their own new year day but not necessary as is a national holiday.

Oh, Indonesia being predominantly Muslim celebrates the Hari Raya Puasa. Though New Year Day and Lunar New Year Day is also a holiday.

The Philippines has been trading with China for hundreds of years before the Spaniards came in the year 1521. Evidence of Chinese jars and pottery are found all over the country.

The Philippines might not celebrate directly the Lunar New Year but when it celebrates the Western New Year (January 1), it celebrates it Asian style with all the fireworks (some can trigger car alarms) and even incorporates local and Chinese beliefs. A lot of Filipinos buy rounded fruits to be placed on the table before midnight, wearing polka dots, putting coins on the pocket, jumping at the stroke of midnight, not sweeping the floor, having new things during the New Years day and many more. The Philippines is where East meets West.

There are many Chinese in the Philippines, so they also celebrate with them or if someone is married to Chinese.
As far, most of the Filipinos are Catholic, Christians, Muslims etc.
As dragon is the symbol of Lunar New Year, not most participated on these Lunar New Year because of their beliefs.
Many are superstitious, so it is not about the Lunar Year that they follow but the things they think is going to be a bad luck for the year.
Yes, it is true about the influence of other country to another countries.

My family's from Thailand. The Thai's generally celebrate New Year in April, not February. Yup, there's the water throwing, but on top of that, they also give you a heavy dusting of baby powder. Foreigners are the primary target ;-)
As with most Asian countries, they embrace anything American/Western. So New Years in January is also celebrated.
