the CDC estimates that about 60% of all adults have HSV-1, the virus that causes oral herpes. given that most people acquire this virus as toddlers and infants, I think it's safe to generalize the number to mean 60% of college students have HSV-1.

I am absolutely terrified and I feel so alone. I just found out last week that I tested positive for hsv1 and 2.
