i have oral herpes as well. i have had it since i was a baby. they didn't know how it was spread then and my dad kissed me and therefore have had it ever since. i get about one cold sore every two months and i just make sure that i don't kiss or have oral sex. i also do not let someone else use my towels or washcloths. and i change towels and washcloths after every use and dry and wash my face last. i haven't had any problems and now it doesn't even bother me anymore. the doctor told me that the only way to infect someone else is if the blister pops and that liquid gets into a cut or their saliva, so i just make sure that i don't come into any kind of contact with anyone. a lowered immune system, sun, stress, and lack of sleep is what triggers them, so if you stay in pretty good health, you should be finel.

My best friend has had genital herpes for about eight months now, and it's been really rough. She's had about 7 outbreaks. Everywhere I read it says it stops flaring up so much after time, but its not getting less frequent for her. She's been on Antiviral meds the whole time, too. She also has type 1 diabetes which she has had her whole life, which really weakens her immune system. Will it ever get better?
But after a friend share this video everything has changed.

Herpes is herpes, whether it is genital or oral.
(Oral herpes is commonly referred to as a fever blister or cold sore.)
If you kiss your partner, you can tranfer the virus to your partner's lip, even if you do not have a visible outbreak at the time.
If you perform oral sex on your partner, you can give your partner a case of genital herpes.
If you touch your hand to your lip and then touch your eye or your genitals (or your partner's eye or your partner's genitals), you can spread herpes to those other areas -- and vice versa for genital herpes.
How big a problem that is for you in your relationship is up to you. At least, I think you should be mindful of it and do your best not to spread the virus to other parts of your body or to your partner.
I believe that the information in the other answer is incorrect -- tetracycline is an antibiotic, which does not work against a virus. For a virus, you need acyclovir (Zovirax) or pencyclovir (Denavir).

No, this is not a huge deal. msot people have it in a single variety or yet another, and maximum don't be responsive to it. Chcolate can set off it because of the fact of an amino acid called arginine in it. yet another amino acid (obtainable in well being food shops) called lysine can help build immunity to it, besides as basically not stressing out! take care sweetie.

your symptoms can be reduced with prescription meds, reducing your stress, and better oral habits. it is contagious even when you don't have a sore. enjoy life -it's ok.
