For chicklette0008... not every town has public transportation availible!! I never said I couldnt afford the mainenance or gas or insurance. Thats the easy part. Its comeing up with a big lump sum to make the purchase. There are a lot of single parents in the same situation. You dont have to be rude. If you think the question is amusing dont answer it.

I don't know any reliable programs but you should sign up with your local www.freecycle.org and other yahoo groups. I see more generous people in these groups then anywhere else. You can either ask for a car, offer to pay for a cheap car or ask you local groups for info on programs and communities that can assist. Good luck!

I am sorry there is no way you can get help financing a car being unemployed...I have on occasion got buyers approved that is about to get employed by bringing a letter that states yearly salary and starting date...

When you say you cant get financing anywhere, if this also has to with you having poor credit then read this webpage http://www.usedcartips.org/CREDI.html for an understanding how poor credit works and how it can be fixed...

After reading webpage go to my home page and study how to buy a car

Have you tried with Social Services? You may also try with The Salvation Army.I have found cars and got them given to me by just looking in people' backyards.Alot of times they are only in need of minor work.I do this all the time, Buy cheap, fix'em up and sell for small profit. Some Churches also may help, like Catholic Charities.Good Luck

Just go with the flow. When I'm doing bad I don't care what no one thinks about me, at that time. But always stay positive, things will get better. Or we can make things worser by getting mad. I am very apathetic, I try never to be mad at anything. And you know what makes me better than anyone else? Im Strong!
Be Strong Baby.

I hope you get some decent answers from people to this because I'm in a similar situation but I'm lucky because my husband has a car and our work schedules allow us to share a car right now.
