"What's normal?
A normal fasting blood sugar result is lower than 100 milligrams of glucose per deciliter of blood (mg/dL).

What level suggests prediabetes?
If your fasting blood sugar level is 100 mg/dL to 125 mg/dL, you have impaired fasting glucose — commonly known as prediabetes. To confirm the diagnosis, your doctor may repeat the fasting blood sugar test several days to a week later.

What level suggests type 1 or type 2 diabetes?
A fasting blood sugar level of 126 mg/dL or higher is consistent with either type 1 or type 2 diabetes when accompanied by classic signs and symptoms of diabetes — increased thirst or hunger, frequent urination, weight loss or blurred vision.

To confirm the diagnosis, your doctor may repeat the fasting blood sugar test on another day. If your test results are 126 mg/dL or higher twice in a row after at least eight hours of fasting, you may have diabetes.

If your blood sugar level is higher than 200 mg/dL and you have signs or symptoms of diabetes, you may be diagnosed with diabetes without a second test for confirmation."

What is a random blood sugar test?
A random blood sugar test measures your blood sugar at any point in time, not necessarily a certain amount of time after a meal, snack or beverage.

What's normal?
A normal random blood sugar result is lower than 100 mg/dL.

What level suggests prediabetes?
If your random blood sugar level is higher than 100 mg/dL but lower than 199 mg/dL, you may have prediabetes.

What level suggests type 1 or type 2 diabetes?
A random blood sugar level of 200 mg/dL or higher suggests either type 1 or type 2 diabetes. Remember, your blood sugar level alone isn't enough to differentiate between type 1 and type 2 diabetes. Your doctor may do other tests to determine which type of diabetes you have.

The median range for blood sugar is 60-99 mcg/dcl. It used to be 70-120 mcg/dcl.

As a long time diabetic, I maintain my sugar in the 130 range. Because of my irregular work hours and the fact my meals may be more than 8 hours apart, keeping my sugar a little on the high side affords me a little bit of leeway.

Everyone is different. One person may feel the effects of low sugar at 60 or below. Others may start feeling symptoms in the 80s or higher. I saw one diabetic with a sugar of 25 who was still awake, conscious and alert. I saw another with a sugar of 1200 (this is no lie...I saw the lab report) who was not feeling any adverse effects.

Talk your doctor about what your range should be.

I'm a 45 year old woman and was recently diagnosed as being a borderline diabetic. My doctor prescribed some medication, but before filling it I decided to do some research on the internet which led me to the methods. After reading this ebook and applying the methods, my scepticism turned to 100% belief. I noticed that my energy levels increased significantly and I felt more rested in the morning, my symptoms started going away.

I am very happy to tell you that I have been feeling better than I have felt in years and my doctor informed me that he will be taking me off my prescriptions if I keep this up.

I recommend you use the Type 2 Diabetes Destroyer to naturally reverse your diabetes.

for a non diabetic your blood sugar should be between 60 and 80 fasting, if you are a diabetic it should be between 60 and 120 fasting and never higher than 130 (120 is ideal) if it is running higher than that u should make an appointment to have it checked. I've been a diabetic my entire life and if you would like any info plz feel free to contact me via yahoo messenger . I hope this helped you some.

When you have not eaten for a period of 12 hours, I figure you are talking about a fasting glucose reading and fasting glucose reading for diabetics should be between 90-130mg/dl. Two hours after you eat it should be below 180 and before meals it needs to be under 140.
If you are a diabetic anything over 150 is cause for concern. If you are not a diabetic, then 189 is way too high and you may be on your way to developing this. Your best advice is to go to your doctor and have him do some labs on you, preferably fasting labs where you have nothing to eat after mif\dnight the night before you are to have the labs done.
