I ate some milk chocolate on my 'slip up' day. But it only happened once, I swear! Anyone been through the rocky road of intensly craving cheese, ice cream, cheesecake, an omelette, anything along that line?

Yeh, it's normal to "slip up" every now and then for the first 1-3 years. Please don't stop trying to adhere to a strict vegan diet, but certainly don't think you have to justify any slip ups to anyone. Just try to make the slips ups less and less frequent and be proud of all the effort you are putting into it and all the lives you have saved already.

P.S. An intense craving probably means you are lacking something in your diet. Try to figure out what it is and supplement. For exapmle, it could be calcium, so drink more OJ that's fortified with calcium, or greens that are high in calcium. It could be protein, so up your intake of beans and nuts. It could even be fat, or B vitamins. Try to cook with olive oil and flax seeds, you could add it to a salad or a sandwich. You get the idea.

YES! i try not to feel guilty. none of my friends are vegan. a few are vegetarian. more than once when i've been out eating (and drinking) with others i have had a few pieces of cheese. when i went to spain for 2 weeks last year i ate seafood almost everyday. i've been back and forth between vegan and vegetarian for years. seafood is what i crave the most.
and i think some holy vegan is giving us all a thumbs down.

The last time I came close was when I bought some gatorade type sport drink,it had vitamin d-3 in it.Good thing I didn't drink it.You shouldn't feel guilty,it isn't about being pure or perfect, just being as vegan as possible.

Rub some chilly pressed olive oil on them. no longer the main suitable thought to place any products on the lips/mouth by way of fact it enters your blood in seconds. in case you do no longer prefer to hold around olive oil, some ok manufacturers are alba & eos. yet at homestead definantly use olive oil.
