If it is too acidic, use a pinch or more of Arm & Hammer Baking soda to neutralize the acid. Carrots offer a sweetness and absorbs the acid. Try one in your pasta sauce and see how it will taste before you serve the sauce. Sugar can be used to sweeten if needed, be cautious though. As stated below, potatoes work well also.

I usually add an additional can of beans and more meat say 1/2 a pound extra, and add 1 cup of water along with a tablespoon of sugar.

You can try reheating it with a cut up potato in it. This will absorb some of the spiciness. Otherwise, make another batch with no spice and mix it together.

add lemon or tomato--a bit of sugar..throw in a potato or two--add corn or an onion--or an extra veggie--a green pepper maybe...adding a bit of an extra food will into change up the taste too much--but will help you dilute the overall recipe...yes--it won't be just plain chili--but you will still be able to eat and enjoy it...
