The practical way would be to add a little meat/seafood to yr veg. dishes .Or add a lot of vegetables to yr meat/nonveg dishes.
e.g u may add kheema/mince to veg like cauliflower, beans, methi, potatoes etc.
Prawn may be added to beans, c/flr., cabbage or even lauki or gourd, so aslo to karela [bitter gourd].
U can even stuff some non veg like fish or mince in some vegetables.
This way u can cultivate a habit to eat veg food & not feel bad abt giving up the non-veg altogether.

First, try to eat fruits and vegetables, pray to find only fresh fruits! Cook them if you want. Think at the fact that you don't eat an animal that ate something else (meat is a second hand product...) isn't better to eat a lot of vegetables and fruits than the meat of an animal?

You should not include veg food all at once...you should begin by introducing small amounts of vegetables in your diet.....
Little by little substituting meat...with veg food
At first your consumption of meat will not be greater compared to your veg intake...don`t give up and don`t worry..it is perhaps because you are not used to it...
Afterwards by gradually increasing vegetables intake...the proportion of vegetable to meat will be greater....
And always remember a vegetarian diet is a healthy one if you include food groups from different classes, ensuring that even though meat doesnot form part of your diet...you enjoy a balanced meal.
As a snack try to consume a carrot an apple. rather than salty and sugary foods
Also the presentation of the dish plays a role..try to make the dish as attractive as possible by including garnishes....
Donot always use the same method of cooking..include different methods such as baking, frying....
A habit is something which is done regularly...So my friend....if at first it seems difficult don`t give up.....Persevere!

Start with foods you already eat that are vegetarian or could easily be made meatless, such as macaroni & cheese, cheese pizza, salads, spaghetti with Italian tomato sauce, scalloped potatoes, lasagna, etc. Also check out vegetarian cookbooks from the library. One of my favorites is "Lean and Luscious and Meatless" by Bobbie Hinman & Millie Snyder. It has LOTS of delicious recipes, like Mexicali squares, vegetable stew, ratatouille pot pie, mock tuna salad, marvelous mushroom cheeseburgers, zucchini mock crab cakes, chickenless a la king, almost Hungarian goulash, veggie quiche, etc.
A cookbook I got recently is "Betty Crocker Easy Everyday Vegetarian". I checked it out of the library, made their Pizza Puff Pie recipe, and knew that I had to buy the cookbook.
There are also lots of vegetarian cookbooks on eBay, and vegetarian recipes on the internet.

Why not just try a salad it 's light and you could add a little dressing for flavor add some fruits and vegtables and it'll turn out delicious.
