Bulimia leads to many health problems and ultimately death. Initially, you will experience corrosion of the esophagus because of the constant acid going through it and dehydration. Once your body has no nutrition, you are basically doing to your body what a starving person has no choice but to do and are slowly killing yourself. Your systems will begin to fail.

Even though you are losing weight this way, it isn't the good kind of weight. Instead of losing fat, you are losing lean muscle; the kind of weight you WANT. Please find alternative ways other than bulimia, nothing good comes of it.

Yea it can cause irregular heart beats because of potassium levels--heart murmers are pretty normal though--usually genetic--"pulmonary valve stenosis"--no that is very rare--do you have that? whom diagnosed it? I am a cardiac tech and former--lol-bulimic. You need to just stop--I know it is hard--it is a way of dealing with issues in life. The really bad things from bulimia are teeth erosion, gingivitis--which can cause heart problems--like getting an infection in the heart wall or valves, or getting cancer of the esophagus--which happens alot which is why you should get an endoscopy. It is a hard thing as weight fluctuates and food is always available--not like an alcoholic or drug abuser whom has to go find their fix. I pray for you.

I have had to have all my teeth redone. I only throw up once in a great while--but now limit food intake. Seek counseling--helps.

Yes, it can make you have an increased number of irregular heart beats. When you vomit, or use laxatives it changes the chemistry in your blood and some of those changes can cause severe heart problems including increasing chances for heart attacks at any age. It is also very stressful physically to vomit. With pulmonary valve stenosis you already have the potential to develop an enlarged heart muscle that will cause your heart not to pump effectively. Contact your doctor if having any symptoms that include sweating , dizziness, chest pain or increased shortness of breath. Blood work needs to be done and a good physical work up. Ask for help.

Yes, bulimia can lead to irregular heartbeats. (Self-induced) Vomiting frequently causes electrolyte imbalances, especially a decrease in potassium level in the blood. Potassium has a n important function in regulating heart rhythm, acid-base balance in the body, nerve irritability and muscle contraction. So a deficiency of this causes irregular heartbeats.

Pulmonary valve stenosis is a different thing, but it could make any condition more complex.

are you bullemic? Well, it could make it worse, so don't become a bullemic, and if you are feeling fat go talk to a doctor, they can set you straight, or down the right path.
