I am always amused when I see the answers non veggies give in the vegetarian section. Things like, well vegetarians eat some meat, or vegans eat fish. Why do they answer a question they no NOTHING about? I know diddly doo about cars, and I am not over in the mechanics section answering questions. Just wondering why people bother to answer questions, when all it does is make them look ignorant and uninformed. I don't answer what I don't know

Yeah,I saw someone else say vegetarians eat fish.lol.Or they give health advice about vegetarian diets when they aren't even vegetarian or have experience with vegetarian diets, you can especially tell that they know nothing about nutrition when they say protein is hard to get on a vegetarian diet.

There are such things called education, and practical experience. Im a trained chef. I took nutrition classes and had to research different diets, including vegan and vegetarian. I learned in coursework what the body needs in order function. Ive also had to prepare vegan and vegetarian meals where I work, and we do everything from scratch. The only pre-made vegan item we get are veggie burgers. Otherwise we get organic tofu, seitan, and tempeh to work with. We dont get all that other meat substitute crap that I read about on here. I dont pretend to know everything, but what I do know I am willing to share for the benefit of others. Dont stereotype.

Well, although I'm NOT currently a vegetarian, I did go through the college vegetarian stage like many women do. So, I guess 3 years as a vegetarian gives me some credibility in giving an answer.

Since I've been on both sides of the issue, I have a unique perspective. Of course, those who want answers appreciate that, but those who are only seeking validation for their own viewpoint aren't quite as appreciative.

I don't do it for the points its just that I know what vegitarianisim is. We did some study in Home Ec. class on it and my uncle who lived with me had a roomate who was vegan so I know about it.

They're called TROLLS, silly. And you are doing an EXCELLENT job of feeding them. Keep up the good work, can't have hungry trolls around.

Oh, BTW, trolls or not, the proper term for non-veg*ns is omnivore. Goes to show what you know, don't it?

I know what you mean, I guess they just want to stir **** up. There's a lot of ranting about what a load of crap God is in the religion&spirituality section. People are just trying to ammuse themselves I guess, it is annoying though.

my bf is a meat eater, but living with me for so long i would say he is very knowledgeable about vegetarianism, i certainly trust him to make meals or buy from the supermarket and know he will not get anything with meat in or meat products for me

i have lived as a vegetarian. my experience qualifies me to tell people about my experiences eating a vegetarian diet. even people who are not vegetarians may be able to give a helpful recipe or tip about eating a non-meat diet.

******.

Why dont you get off your high horse!!!
I answer questions in the Vegetarian section and ive been in hospitality for 6 years.
The way i see it vegetarians dont eat meat (including seafood) and vegans dont eat anything that comes from an animal!
Then we get people like you who thinks they are so much better than everyone eles just because you think everything that comes out of your mouth is right!!!!
