Call 911.

If these signs give you the impression that she's having a stroke now, do as the other answerers have said and call 911.

If these signs give you the impression that it happened in the recent past, let her know that if she doesn't volunteer to go to the doctor, you'll have her declared incompetent, and take her there by force.

I would threaten to call 911 if she doesn't want to go to the doctor or the emergency room. Also let her know your concerns. Let her know that she's being selfish. That she needs to realize if she has a stroke she leaves the burden on her loves ones to deal with the after effects of stroke, such as, she can die, be partial paralyzed, loss of speech and memory etc.... Leading to enormous medical expenses, physical therapy, speech therapy etc... that'll burden her children. She needs to step -up and face the music this is serious.

Call 911. Tell your mother that she NEEDS to go now, even though the signs may have subsided or you will call 911. Does she have a death wish? Load her as*s in the car and take her, call a cab, whatever! The longer she waits the closer she will get to having permanent brain damage or death. In the meantime, give her two aspirin NOW...that will thin her blood till she gets to the hospital and when you get there, tell them what you did. Praying for you both! Godloveya!

Try to get a family physician to come to your house to assess her problems. The doctor at home could convince her better than you.

Call an ambulance, she can still refuse treatment, but they can hopefully talk some since into her. Try having her hold both arms stretched out in front of her, see if one drifts. Or have her smile, is it normal?

You need to do whatever you can to get her to the doctor even if that means tricking her or guilting her to go.
