I'm trying to help overhaul my University's salad bar contents (as there is not a lot and it gets monotonous). What would you have in a salad bar if you had unlimited options, but wanted it to remain healthy?

Good for you, I won't eat in a place that doesn't have a decent salad bar which, to me, includes

Beets, red onions, sunflower nuts, cottage cheese (salad dressing too fattening).

THE MOST IMPORTANT Lettuce of different varieties for taste and texture, usually cafeterias buy some cheap mix that tastes like wax!

cherry tomatoes, cheese, broccoli

And an individual serving spoon for each item so one tong is not passed from place to place.

Thank u for caring.

You have to have bacon bits! Lettuce, tomato, cheese, all of the dressings, onion, Olive, egg, ham, chicken, carrot , I can go on and on, but to let you know salad isn't as healthy as you think, it can actually be bad for you if you eat too much
