Hahaha. Good question. Vegans say we are no better than animals

"So if an animal eats meat, that should mean it is OK for us to eat meat?"
"Oh no my friend, that is not the case! They don't have our reasoning.... So it is not OK for us to eat meat."
"So we are in fact better than animals?"
"NO!! All life is sacred!"
"Well what about all the insects and animals that are ruthlessly poisoned and murdered in the growing and harvesting of the fruits and vegetables YOU eat?"
"...."
"Yeah, thats what I thought."

It is all about choice, and I don't CARE that they decide to live the way they do. I have a problem with them trying to shove their lifestyles down our throats. I am happy eating meat. As a matter of fact meat, bread, and potatoes are about all I eat. I don't need some half-witted douche bag telling me that my lifestyle is "wrong", and theirs is right.

Edit-

Veronica, how so? Are you some half-witted douche bag telling me I am wrong? Did I specifically refer to anyone in here? As long as you aren't preaching your beliefs to me, I could not care less about how you live your life. If you are referring to me posting in the veggie section, well I stumbled upon this place, and saw a few interesting questions, and was appalled by the answers I saw from some of the Vegans regarding meat eating.

I ma not a vegan, i a m vegetarian, but i htink it is different for animals.
I mean, you can buy meat free dog food etc, but i wouldnt do that.
You see, most animals hunt for their meat, and it is their way of living. The main reason i do not eat meat is because of the way in which the animals are kept before they are killed-they see other animals die before them, chickens have their beaks cut off without anaesthetic.
What i am trying to say is, that it is nature for animals to eat other animals, and to drink milk from their OWN species.
it is NOT natural for ahuman to keep animals and slaughter them to eat, and our system is built as a non-meat eater anyway. Sure we can digest meat, but we can digest cardboard, would you eat that?
Also, we drink milk etc from OTHER aniamls, which is very unnatural, although ic ant really talk as i am not vegan myself.
just saying,

This vegan thinks animals that eat animals probably don't kill 100 times more than they need. They probably don't make their food live in unbearable conditions for the majority of its life in some tiny cage, standing in its own feces while being injected with all kinds of crap before they eat them. This vegan just thinks factory farming is disgusting and if you were to brave investigating what happens to YOUR meat before you eat it, you might not eat it. I wouldn't. And thanks for asking.

They're animals. That's what they do. Eat meat. Since they don't have the reasoning to know any different, what else could they eat?

That it's natural. Animals that eat meat need to eat meat to survive and thats the natural order of things.

This vegan thinks that they are doing their
job by maintaining the balance of nature.
Also. it's not like the predators are breeding
or cloning prey to eat. So to them I say
bon-apetite.

P.S. Their stomach acids are designed
to handle flesh the way it is meant to be
eaten- "raw". Why don't you try that and
see what happens?

Kudos to them-they are following their instincts. Humans only eat meat because it is readily available. Most people wouldn't if they had to rely on their own instincts to hunt, catch, kill, and consume their prey. People only eat meat because someone else did the dirty work for them. And humans cannot eat meat without cooking it. In the wild, animals instinctively know what to eat and where to find it, and their bodies know how to process what they eat. Humans, on the other hand, eat this way only because it is what is considered normal and what they were raised to believe. If you research it, there is nothing normal about eating meat-its wrong on so many levels. No wonder digestion ailments are so prevalant-the human body doesnt know how to eliminate protein so similar to its own

If an animal (other than Homo sapien sapien) couuld get in his car, go to the grocery store, and buy a veggie burger, then vegans may have a hard time with it.

However, since they can't, and many of them require certain ingredients in meat to survive, your question is non-sensical and is quite the non sequitor.

Ricky- " I don't need some half-witted douche bag telling me that my lifestyle is "wrong", and theirs is right. " Isn't it ironic? Don't you think?
