Depends on what is causing your cholesterol to be too high in the first place. Also is it the HDL or LDL cholesterol components that are too high?
Until recently, it was thought that high cholesterol was bad for everyone, but now we know different, as some people have high cholesterol, because that is how their genes have programmed their bodies.
If you don't eat enough cholesterol in your food, you body will produce it, and there are some people they have found, who eat no cholesterol in their foods, yet are completely healthy, and how have high cholesterol in the blood.
Change your diet, exercise, go to the doctors for statin medicine, eat vegetables with natural statins in them (statins are what they use to lower cholesterol in people.
Good luck. See your doctor first though.

Don't get too hung up on cholesterol; the patents on the Statin drugs are running out and all of a sudden cholesterol is taking a back seat. Google: Dr. Mercola or Bill Sardi.
Good luck.

You need to go on what's called the Mediterranean Diet. This includes eating lots of fish, fresh vegetables, and "healthy" fats found in olive oil, nuts, and various kinds of fish. Also, don't skimp on eating fruits and low-fat milk products.
Keep up this diet for a few weeks and you should notice a significant decrease in your cholesterol. Just make sure to stay away from trans fats and saturated fatty acids (found in chips, cookies, butter, burgers, junk food, etc)

You can easily lower your own cholesterol with proper diet.
Go to Amazon.com and order "The China Study" by Dr. T. Colin Campbell, PhD.
It'll cost you a lot less than some drug and change your life forever.
Good luck!

I believe that eating oatmeal is supposed to be good at lowering your cholesterol.
Also eat egg beaters rather than real eggs and artificial bacon such as Morning Star Bacon.
Lean meats, nothing fried.
Basically if it tastes REALLY good, don't eat it. :) SD
