Hypoglycemia
Hypoglycemia, also called low blood sugar, occurs when your blood glucose (blood sugar) level drops too low to provide enough energy for your body’s activities. In adults or children older than 10 years, hypoglycemia is uncommon except as a side effect of diabetes treatment, but it can result from other medications or diseases, hormone or enzyme deficiencies, or tumors
Hyperglycemia
Hyperglycemia occurs when you have a higher than usual level of glucose in your blood. This can happen shortly after you have eaten a big meal and is not a problem if your glucose level returns to normal.

Hypoglycemia is when your blood sugar is low but you can control it. Some symptoms are fatigue, headaches, forgetfullness, ect. You get the test by going to the doctor and getting your blood tested. If you even think you have it, you should get tested. You can pass out from low blood sugar. Go to this site:
http://diabetes.webmd.com/tc/Hypoglycemia-Low-Blood-Sugar-Topic-Overview'
It has all the information you will need about hypoglycemia.

hypoglycemia is when your blood sugar goes too low from not eating and you begin to feel sick and dizzy.
hyperglycemia is when your blood sugar goes to high and you get sick.
you can have either of these and not be diabetic, but without properly taking care of the situation they can evolve into diabetes.
my grandma,my dad, brother, and husband are all hypoglycemic, so in my case it is hereditary.
if you want a more detailed explanation go to WebMD or to the Mayo Clinic websites.

Hypoglycemia is low blood sugar. The only way to be sure if you have it or not is to visit your doctor and they can give you a blood test.

In medical terms, hypo means too low, and hyper means too high. when in doubt, see your doctor for a blood test.
