you are easily winded because your cardio-vascular sytem needs to be built up. Walking is best then, progress to a light jog after a few weeks, and finally months down the road if you feel ready you can run. Water aerobics and swimming are also very nice and if you suffer from joint pains will help take some of the stress off them while getting your aerobic cardio exercise.

bike rides to build muscular strength endurance and cardio which will overall be the best way to get more fit which will help you with easily winded. Even if you are not fat you can still be out of shape.

Depends on what area? If you are talking about in general. I would have to say running. Moves your legs muscles and moves you arm muscles as well. It probably moves about 75% of you muscles.

Also SPRINT ,LIFT, and walk and strrrrrrretch
BUT get ADEQUATE REST TOO
DO NOT OVER DO THINGS OR INFLAME YOUR ARTERIES.
