an enlarged heart is a progressive problem, depends on how enlarged....ask for the ejection fraction, and for the cardiologist to ex[lain it to you.

stoke and enlarged heart and irregular heart beat, are all separate problems. Enlarged heart mean just that, but the problem with an enlarged heart is that it does not work very efficiently. It is stretched out so to speak... a stroke is when part of your brain is deprived of blood/oxygen and actually dies. this could be from decreased bloodflow from a clot or other reasons. good luck.

It is struggling and pushing more than it should, due to many reasons.
