I mean I have a big bowl of cereals every morning, cheese and pickle sandwich everyday plus loads of milky tea. I’ve noticed I get a lot of flem in my throat and have to clear it a lot. I also keep getting a blocked nostril..is this all connected?

Yes, an excess of milk can cause mucus throughout the bloodstream. Even if you're not allergic milk can produce mucus problems. I suggest you try goat's milk, soy or rice milk and see if this helps your problem. Many people are allergic to soy the same as milk. You will just have to test these out and find out what works for you.

I have tried to research this for you but (expect you found the same) there is not a whole lot on dairy allergies as such. What I have found out and this has been backed up for me by my own experience and some people I know is that,

#1 Excess dairy produce in the diet may result in the symptoms you mention. Regardless of health or allergies etc.

#2 If you had some sort of lactose intolerance you would know about it, as it would affect your gut rather than your respiratory system.

#3 Best not tell your GF about the excess mucus thing!!

#4 Me thinks you worry too much my friend.

Take care, don't worry!

If you are allergic to cows milk it can cause increased mucus, and cause mucus related complications in upper respitory tract infections, sinus problems ear infections etc. Try Google milk mucus.
I use Goats milk or soy milk and fixed me up!
