The right lung has 3 lobes (subdivisions) anatomically, whilst the left lung has 2 lobes.

It would have been better if you expounded on your question.

Anyhow, good luck!

each right lung is divided into 3 lobes and each left lung into 4 lobes.they all have the same function but they are divided because when there is an injury or cancer or virus in any lobe it won't expand to the whole lung leading to failure in breathing and death.
so having an extra lobe(which is really weird and rare)means that the lung at which u have this extra lobe is devided into 1 more lobe.
as this is really rare ,I havent hear about sth like this before but I can tell u that as long as this extra lobe is normal and functions well.then u won't have any problems or complications in the future.
it's like those who have the heart at the right side of chest.it's ubnormal but they live somehow normally since the heart works.

Maybe you expected to hear that we just have two lobes.
Sometimes we are unaware of our physical attributes until we become involved in medical situations regarding ourselves or people close to us.

We all do. Your left has one less to make room for the heart.
